PT. (Persero) Asuransi Kredit Indonesia or PT. Askrindo (Persero) is a State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) engaged in insurance / underwriting, can not be separated from the economic development of the Nation and the Republic of Indonesia.
Since the government prepare and establish REPELITA I in 1969, which is one of the main targets of the plan is the equitable distribution of development results in the field of business opportunities, public income and simultaneously stimulate job growth. In order to achieve this goal the government take concrete steps such as by developing small and medium enterprises by addressing one of the important aspects of the business, namely the financing aspect.
Established on 6 April 1971 by the Indonesian Government Regulation No. 1/1971 dated January 11, 1971, to serve the mission of empowering Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to support the growth of the Indonesian economy. Role of PT. Askrindo (Persero) in the empowerment of SMEs is a guarantor institution on loans extended by banks to SMEs.
In accordance with its vision and mission, PT. Askrindo (Persero) continue to perform the role and functions as Collateral Subtitution Institution, namely the guarantee institution that bridges the gap between SMEs eligible but did not have enough collateral to obtain credit with financial institutions, both banks and non-bank institutions (feasible but not bankable).
In line with the changing times, the current PT. Askrindo (Persero) has four business lines, namely Bank Credit Insurance, Trade Credit Insurance, Surety Bond and Customs Bond. PT. Askrindo since 2007 to implement government programs in order to Instruction 6/2007, or better known as underwriting Credit (KUR). In the execution along with Askrindo give guarantees loans extended by six Bank executive, namely: Bank BRI, BNI, Bank Mandiri, Bank Bukopin, Bank Syariah Mandiri and 26 (twenty-six) Regional Development Banks.
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia is the backbone of economic power that is able to provide a very significant contribution. Capital strengthening SMEs will provide multiplier effects such as growth of business activities, followed by work opportunities and increase business value. The creation of a strong SMEs at a later stage be able to contribute in reducing the unemployment rate of poverty in Indonesia.
Askrindo continue to expand its efforts to provide excellent services, supported by branch offices of 60 offices spread across 34 province of Indonesia.
